Kearyn Baccus has this week inked a contract extension that will see him continue his stay with the Wanderers, as indicated by his agent.
The former Blacktown City midfielder joined the Wanderers in 2014 as an injury replacement before signing a contract deal that saw him as a squad member for the 2015 Champions League, becoming a full squad member for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. It is understood that the announcement will be made within the next few days, including the length of the extension.
It’s great news for the Wanderers, as Kearyn went leaps and bounds in his development last season. He has gone from a reliable fill-in to having a vital role in the midfield, in both attack and defence. So much that Kearyn topped our list of most improved Wanderers this season.
This contract extension also means that Kearyn will continue to play along side his younger brother Keanu who recently signed a first team contract.
