On Sunday 5 November, a team of Western Sydney Wanderers supporters will be riding up to 90 kilometres in the MS Sydney to the Gong ride.
The MS Sydney to the Gong ride is NSW’s premier cycling charity event. Each year around 10,000 riders participate in arguably the most picturesque cycling ride in Australia.
The MS Sydney to the Gong ride raises funds to help people who are suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
Preparations for the inaugural Wanderers to the Gong team are well under way with a number of enthusiastic cyclists/WSW fans already registered to ride with the team. Custom cycling jerseys have been designed and available for purchase at a very affordable price for members of the Western Sydney Wanderers CC.
Our cycling team is aiming to be positive community ambassadors of the Wanderers family. If you are a keen cyclist and a passionate Wanderers fan, we would like you to come join us this November. As a registered rider, you have the option of riding 90km or 58km depending on fitness and/or confidence. You can choose to start at either St Peters (90ks) or Engadine (58ks).
The MS Sydney to the Gong ride is in its 36th year and is very well organized throughout. Roads and lanes are closed from general traffic and riding through the Royal National Park, across the Seacliff Bridge and along the Illawarra coastline is an experience to be treasured. The carnival atmosphere at the finish line does not disappoint as many riders and their supporters enjoy the festivities.
Registrations to the MS Gong ride are currently available at the discounted price of $95 until September 7 when it goes back up to the full price of $135.
