Wanderers extend Nike partnership for 3 more years

Nike Australia will be Western Sydney Wanderers official kit supplier for the next 3 years in a move guaranteed to please fans.

With the old deal coming to an end social media was rife with suggestions that New Balance would take over as our supplier.

Instead, Nike will continue to produce the high-quality replica shirts that fans have consistently praised since Nike came on board in 2012.

Our poll a few days back on the new Wanderers replica tops had a mixed response, 62% said they liked the new jersey to 38% who were not impressed by the new design.

I believe this will be one of those designs you will warm to once you see it out on the field, everyone loves a winning jersey and with our strong recruitment, there is no reason to believe it will not become just that.

CEO John Tsatsimis spoke of the deal in glowing terms:

“Nike is known worldwide as being a leader in the football world and we are incredibly pleased to have their support for a further three seasons,” said Tsatsimas.

“We’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved together in our five years of partnership and we look forward to more success with Nike in the future starting with the launch of our new 2017/18 kit tonight.”

With our kit future secured, our major sponsor NRMA still on board and member numbers above 15,000, the fiscal stability at WSW would be the envy of most clubs.

With our new stadium being built as we speak, it is little wonder the Wanderers brand is one that continues to shine.
